Gaint lake is the large lake west of Svadilfar .
It's has derived it's name from the fact that the gaints first emerged from this lake after sin had created them to be a quaternary race. The name is no reference to the size of the lake, since there are lakes far larger in size in within Midgard itself.
Legends about gaints that escaped the curse of the gods and remain mortal talk of benevolent gaint sightings near this lake. Some legends even speak about Sin granting the gaints merfolk -like abilities so they could hide in the lake itself, hiding the treasures and wisdom sin originally had given the gaints. But the bottom of the lake has often been searched by merfolk, finding nothing.
