Short description of the War

History

  • The beginning of the War
  • Recent events
  • Significant earlier events
    • Destruction of the troll capital
    • Destruction of Darthoridan
    • Enslavement and release of the Ogres
    • Forming of the Caldera Wasteland

The Reasons for War

The primary reason for the continuous War between Asgard and Utgard is a rather grim one. They fight not for honour, not for glory, but simply to utterly eradicate the other side. The hatred amongst the races is such that they live for the destruction of the other side.

2 - Very common, even the farmers of Midgard know this.

While rare, a few cultural traits are shared between the races of Southern Heimr.

Racial Bigotry

One of the most prominent traits shared by the cultures of Southern Heimr is a large amount of racism and racial bigotry. Most of the races will trust their own race before anyone else, including other races from Southern Heimr.

Noble and graceful, the Elves are among the oldest races on Heimr. Deeply spiritual and in tune with nature, they often look down on other, less developed civilizations.

Physical Traits

Elfs look very similar to their Fae counterparts in many ways, although they are often more slender and feature smaller ears. Their limbs are long and fair, their movements graceful and controlled. Even though their slender physique, they are as strong as any men. Their hair is often long and lush, shining with vitality.

Facial hair is uncommon within the higher castes of Fae en Elf society.

god

  • Worshiped by: Gnome, happiness seeking fey, party goers.

Info

Ganinisum, the joyful, the prank god, the jester god. Ganinisum is the modern god. He likes all things new (and shiny). He is generally Liberal, leaving people to their fate. But when provoked he can protect those who fail in life without the chance to better or prove themselves.

Gnomes are a semi-common race of short humanoids who usually live in Midgard. They live for about 100 years before they die of old age. Despite their short life span they tend to be extremely optimistic and have a neck of specializing themselves and posses moderate ambition. They have a little inter racial feeling of honour and respect but because they are so carefree and joyful their view on "deep things" is rather shallow.

Physical appearance

Gnomes are short humanoids.

Important Midgardian guilds

The banking guild

Ruled by the Undain Family, the banks of Midgard are all part of the banking guild. They have access to the largest deposit of funds on the whole of Heimr and therefor rule Midgard by proxy of Might and influence. The bank lends money to people they think will eventually pay them back, or at least know how to keep paying the interest, and they use other people their money to do this.

General

Halflings are a rare race of humanoids who usually live in Midgard. They live for about 80 years before they die of old age. Because of their short life span they tend to be very Curious, however they don't seem to have a large ambition like most humans have, reasoning that they are just "dust in the wind" and will eventually lose all they have gained.

2 - Very common, even the farmers of Midgard know this.

Heimr is a world connected to the Vortex.

Astronomy

Heimr orbits around a binary star called "the sun" which orbit around each other at a slightly slower rate than a Heimr year, this causes fluctuations in strength of the sun every two and a half year period. Heimr warms up during this two and a half year period and than cools down again across the next two and a half year period.
