General

Merfolk always remain physically young and appealing. Keywords: Sea dwelling, rulers of the ocean, hunter-gatherers, are seen rarely by the rest of the races, can breath underwater, fishlike.

History

Nobody knows exactly how and when the merfolk came into existance. It could be that a human or sea dwelling creature mutated naturally but that option seems somewhat far fetched (considering merfolks need a mate to reproduce). Merfolks have always looked the way they do nowadays, as far as records go back.

''Stronger than the Laws of Midgard, is the first rule of Heimr. Don't mess with the trees."

  • Anton Undain.

"Both the greatest dangers and the greatest beauties come from the forests of our world. The nymphs are like pearls in the mouth of a hungry shark that swims in a witches cauldron."

  • Unknown Author.

The forests of Midgard are protected by many strange forces.
