Aesar is the capital of its namesake island on the north shore of Asgard, known for its pearl divers and superb fishermen. Though relatively small, the city became wealthy when local seamen discovered valuable pearls in the surrounding waters. Finding ways to artificially cultivate these precious objects, the city now benefits from a high living standard and good reputation within the Kingdom.

Aesar Elves and Fae are generally pious and devoted craftsmen, yet the city does not have a large militia or defensive girdle, confident in the close proximity to the capital city of Dearaldia.

'''With bow in hand, ours is a vengeance rained down from afar, we are death upon the wind.

'''With the thunder of hooves and the turning of our steel-shod wheels, we are death upon the wind.'''

'''With tall spears held to our foe's throat, cold fury guiding our aim, we are death upon the wind.''''''

''-From the Elven Hymn if Battle''''

As you step across the borders of Asgard, a sense of peace and well-being envelopes you. A beautiful woman with elfish features lightly treads towards you from a cove of trees. She inclines her head.

“Welcome to Asgard, traveler.

The Asgardian insane asylums are the cesspools of Asgardian civilisation. Outside every major city, there are two or three places where Asgard keeps it's lesser inhabitants. These insane asylums are full of Elves and Fae who are deemed unfit to function within Asgardian society, and more specifically within either the class in which they were born, or one of the lower classes. Once patients enter an Asgardian insane asylum, every right they had as a free citizen is halted. The philosophy behind this is that it gives doctors in the Asylum the freedom to discover what methods of treatment best suite the patient.

Blue Tricksters are a small type of brightly-coloured birds that are able to mimic sounds with great accuracy, much like the Midgardian Flying siren. Such is their skill in mimicry, that many a unknowing wanderer has been driven off by their sounds of laughter, battlecries, footsteps or even the clash of weapons. Legends tell how the Fae taught them the art of mimicry to fend off unwanted visitors, but chased the birds away when they began to mimic their masters as well.

The Blue Trickster is a omnivore, preferring seeds and small insects. Its tail is a bright blue, hence its name.

Temporary notes

Castes:

  1. You can only marry with the person within the same caste.
  2. You can never rule any person in a higher caste, or give orders to somebody in a higher caste. (exception: see the "apprentice case study")
  3. You can never create a hierarchal system unless it is ruled by a ruling caste individual. (Thus all businesses etc, are ruled by ruling caste members)
  4. Caste administration can give permission to create a new family based on specific createra selected by them.

Background information of Darthorian, the Old Capital of Asgard.

Once the seat of the Highest Lords and Ladies, the city fell into disuse after a major Troll invasion, millenia ago. The city has been rebuild over the last few centuries, but has lost much of it´s former glory. Haunted by bitter memories, the bittered Fae that house here are not to favourable on unwelcome visitors.

A wide, swollen river - the Deryth - flows endlessly to the Terendil. Its source lays far inland, high in the dark and perelous Arun forests.

Map of Dearaldia

Many are the wonders of mortal labor and craftsmanship, though it is said many appear pale and crude in comparison with the City of Dearaldia. For centuries has she been a centre of enlightenment and prosperity; a metropolis of art, politics, architecture and knowledge - Ever since a great calamity befell the former capital of Asgard, Darthorian.

The city itself is surrounded by a ring of forests, almost as old as the world itself.

The Homarid are species of semi-intelligent sea creatures, vaguely representing large man-lobsters. Ranging up to two meters, they erect themselves on their six hindlegs, using the tail as support and their large pincers as primitive manipulators.
They have a hard protective exoskeleton and, like regular lobsters, Homarid must molt in order to grow, leaving them vulnerable during this time. During the molting process, they may experience a change in color.
